Mistake 1: daytime is enough
The essence of Ice and Snow World is after the lights come on. Enter before dusk, see the ice buildings and snow sculptures first, stroll again after the lights go on, and enjoy both scenes in one visit.
Mistake 2: going without booking
In peak winter season tickets may sell out on site or involve long queues — book online by real name in advance and pick a time slot.
Mistake 3: underdressed or wrong clothing
At minus twenty or thirty degrees, an ordinary down jacket is not enough. Layer up, wear a long thick down coat, non-slip snow boots, and hat, gloves and scarf.
Mistake 4: leaving the return trip too late
At closing time taxi demand spikes and cars are hard to get — book ahead or leave by metro.
Mistake 5: underestimating queues
Popular in-park attractions may need reservations and involve long queues. Plan early after entering, do what you most want first, then stroll.
