When to go and how
There are several ways to reach the park from downtown. In winter it gets dark early and the cold bites, so plan ahead and set off while it is still light to avoid long waits outdoors at night.
Metro and bus
- The metro is little affected by icy roads and runs on time — a worry-free downtown choice. Mind the last train so you do not miss it after closing.
- Bus routes are extensive but may be delayed by winter road conditions; when time matters, choose the metro or a taxi.
- From the station you usually still need a transfer stretch — allow walking time and wear non-slip shoes.
Taxi and ride-hailing
- Ride-hailing is convenient door to door; at closing time demand spikes and cars are hard to get, so book ahead or leave off-peak.
- Wait at designated pickup points near the park rather than weaving through traffic.
From the station or airport
- Both are a fair distance from the park — take rail and transfer, or go direct by taxi/ride-hailing.
- With luggage, prefer a taxi to cut down on transfers and outdoor waiting.
The trip back after closing
Crowds concentrate at closing — decide your return in advance: leave before the last metro, or pre-book a car. If driving, watch the icy roads around the park and slow down.
