Ice and Snow Festival

In peak winter season city traffic is heavy; crossing the river by metro toward Songbei is easiest. Avoid the closing-time taxi rush, and if driving, slow down on icy roads.

Each winter natural ice blocks are harvested from the Songhua River, transported to the park, cut, stacked and carved layer by layer into castles and colonnades — the making of the ice buildings.

A new season of Ice and Snow World has opened, building vast ice architecture from the natural ice and snow of the Songhua River, glowing with lights at night.
