Day 1: Central Street — St. Sophia — Songhua River — Ice and Snow World

In the morning stroll Central Street for its cobbled road and old architecture; walk to St. Sophia for photos of the exterior. In the afternoon visit the Songhua River for ice activities, then head to Ice and Snow World before dusk for the night lights — allow 3–4 hours.

Day 2: Sun Island snow sculptures — a themed venue/park — Laodaowai

In the morning see the snow sculptures around Sun Island — monumental and detailed. In the afternoon pick a themed venue or park you like; in the evening visit Laodaowai, where old buildings sit beside snacks — good for eating and strolling.

Day 3: Skiing at Yabuli / Volga Manor (choose one)

For skiing, take a high-speed train toward Yabuli for a half-day on the slopes plus gear rental. Prefer to stay close? Choose a Russian-style manor in the suburbs — snowy scenery and architecture for photos. Return downtown in the afternoon for your trip home.

Pacing tips

  • Plan 3–4 stops a day, leaving buffer for warming up, queues and transport.
  • Put the outdoor-heavy Ice and Snow World near dusk to see day and night in one visit.
  • In peak season, book tickets, cars and hotels in advance to avoid queues.
